- Thanks to Sue Nordemo, I was able to quit smoking after 38 years!!! And the best part is that I am still the same weight. I also have a much better outlook.
- I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know that today marks 4 weeks since I met with you for the smoking cessation. I can't believe that it has been 4 weeks since I last smoked and I am feeling great. You have help me overcome the worst habit of my life. I just feel so positive and confident. I have even started workingout and have lost 6 pounds. I can't thank you enough for helping me through this, and I truly appreciate the special session you gave me on the Great American Smoke Out day.
- Went 7 weeks this time for injection into my eye, Unfortunately, I had some fluid build up and am now going back to 6 weeks. I was very disappointed, but Doc said that this is not unusual and that is why I get evaluated every time that I go. It is the ultimate goal to have me go longer between appointments, but she is very pleased with my progress. My vision has not changed-thankfully. My friend-Sue Nordemo- who does health coaching, worked with me last night on relaxation techniques and hypnosis and I have to say, that that really helped with my anxiety today. Doc said she could feel the "Zen" and my breathing and that I did great during the injection. These techniques work-I'll go for it! I left the house at 8:30 and was home at 10:15-the fastest yet.
- My visit with you was one of the most important steps I've taken in my life, and, as powerful as those words are, there is not a trace of untruth in them. You got through to me in two hours what a life's worth of teachers could never effectively communicate: we are truly capable of accomplishing all that we set forth to do so long as we stay focused and unwavering in our pursuit of it. The hypnosis did more than just help me eliminate my worries, it has kept me in a state of optimism about all things I do in life. Before, I had a defeatist's attitude, as so many do, and life is very hard to live when you see only unreachable opportunities throughout it.
Everything is seen only in terms of failure, and that, of course, is the exact result we will get if it's how we choose to look at life. After your-suggestions and-reading the book Ihink &.Gr.ow.Rich by Napoleon Hill, a book you recommended, I accomplished more in two days than I had for the entire month up to that point. I no longer get discouraged when thinking about the tremendous amount of work that lies ahead of me in college this semester, instead, I embrace it. My aspirations to become a filmmaker are no longer some lifeless dream, and I've already begun by submitting some of my work to various film festivals. Above all, and perhaps most importantly, I no longer become discouraged by failure. As Hill writes, "Success (comes) just one step beyond the point at which defeat (overtakes most). Failure is a trickster with a keen sense of irony and cunning. It takes great delight in tripping one when success is almost within reach."
Nothing significant I accomplish in my life, I'm sure, will have always happened had it not been for my single session with you. Your warm and endearing nature and commitment to see others succeed inspires me not only to want the same, but also to get done all that I intend to in this life. If you can imagine it, you can indeed possess it, for "thoughts are things" if ever a statement had more truth. I truly hope people have the opportunity to have the same experience with you as I did. An open mind and a willingness and belief that we all can truly succeed are all that is necessary.
With deepest humility and profound gratitude,
